Systemic barriers and gender stereotypes are what modern women face when they want to succeed in business and career. Arabian Business recognizes the efforts of the Women Empowerment Council in addressing this issue. The organization, created by Mila Smart Semeshkina, promotes women's empowerment both in the region and worldwide by providing tools for self-education, mentoring support, and opportunities to launch, present, and promote their startups. Here, women share knowledge and create a consolidated and inclusive community, working together to reach personal and global goals.

According to Arabian Business, "The Women Empowerment Council strives to increase the number of women at all levels of professional life, as women's empowerment helps everyone by contributing to the overall growth and development of society." Arabian Business also reminds that on April 20-21, the second WE Convention will be held in Dubai at the Atlantis Royal Hotel. More than 2,000 female leaders and 100 notable speakers are expected to attend, including world tennis champion Maria Sharapova, musician and goodwill ambassador Manizha, actress Maryam Hussain, as well as representatives of Google, Mastercard, Microsoft, Duolingo, and others.
